A 1920’s Mediterranean style home
was the backdrop for this project. The goal was to
re-create a kitchen that reflected some of the early
20th century styles. The space needed to be gracious
on its floorplan and incorporate natural light despite
the exterior restrictions. Early designs saw the
family gathering table as the center point of the
new open space. An addition was built incorporating
a 6- by 6-foot glass cupola, installed over the table
to maximize the use of natural light. Honed granite
finishes, stone sinks, two-tone cabinetry, wood floors
and a magnificent coffered ceiling all come together
to form a soothing interior for the entire project.
A closer look at the materials reveals the attention
to detail that Kitchens By Design, Inc. is known
for.
Architectural columns present the
daily dining area that is bright, open and beautiful.
The table is a 6-foot round marble top table given
as a family heirloom.
